Shelley Blyth is the owner and operator of Shopportunities since 2000.  Shelley, her husband Rik and 2 boys arrived in St. Thomas in 1995 after island hopping though the Caribbean for 7 years and immediately made the island ‘home’.  As the wife of a resort general manager, Shelley often found herself entertaining VIPs and visiting friends on island excursions and shopping trips.  Expanded the idea to include resort guests…. ’Shopportunities’ was born!   Shelley also managed one of the leading jewelry stores in St. Thomas so she knows the ins and outs of the business from both sides.  Building a business on red carpet service, personal recommendations, and guaranteed luxury goods proved to be a hit!  An idea that started in the lobby of one resort has expanded to beautiful resorts and villas on both St. Thomas and St. John.  As Shelley says: “The key has been quality, service and trust…. and the stores I work with are exceptional!”  “I love working with guests to ensure they find their own personal treasures that will continue to remind them of their wonderful holiday in the Virgin Islands!”
